TERMS OF SERVICE
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the services provided by Reassess Me ("Service"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use this Service.
2. Description of Service
Reassess Me provides an AI-based analytics service to assist users in contesting their property tax assessments. The Service is offered in three (3) tiers:
- Free Service: Provides a preliminary price estimate using basic modeling. This service may not capture all property nuances and could result in inaccuracies.
- Reassess Me Standard: Offers a detailed analysis of your property's value, including a comprehensive price estimate and an explanation of methodologies used. An appeal letter is included if the assessment is determined likely to be an overestimate.
- Reassess Me Pro: Includes all features of the Standard service plus a full refund guarantee if the results do not meet the promised reduction in assessed value. This tier is available only for select properties.
- Reassess Me All-Inclusive: Reassess Me will analyze and file an informal review request for you. This service has no upfront charge, and bills you for 10% of your tax savings once your review is finalized. A copy of the property's Notification of Assessed Value is needed to use this service. For select Santa Clara County properties only. Available during the month of July each year.
The filing is exclusively for informal review request and does not include official filing of appeals.
3. Your Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and complete information when using the Service.
- Independently verify the accuracy of AI-generated results, reports, and appeal letters before reliance.
- Maintain confidentiality of your assessment report and other personal information.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
- If you choose to use the Reassess Me All-Inclusive Service, you will need to provide Reassess Me a copy of your Notification of Assessed Value for Reassess Me to provide service.
4. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, logos on our site and all generated content, including assessment reports and appeal letters, are the property of Reassess Me or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
6. Limitations of Service
AI models, like those used by Reassess Me, inherently carry risks of inaccuracies. Reassess Me is not liable for errors in data or analysis results. Due diligence is strongly advised before relying on our Service.
7. Limitation of Liability
Reassess Me will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use or inability to use the Service or the Report.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Reassess Me, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, the generated report, or violation of these Terms.
9. Refund Policy
- Final assessment refers to the final determination made by the assessor in an official appeal process. An unfavorable result in informal review requests is not a final assessment.
- Refunds are available only under the Reassess Me Pro service if the promised reduction in assessed value is not achieved.
- Refund requests must be made within 30 days of the final assessment or within 90 days of service purchase, whichever occurs first.
- Valid refund requests require submission of evidence including initial and final assessment letters or tax bills.
- A purchase is eligible for a refund solely under the condition that all information provided by you, including, but not limited to, the property address, the assessor's initial assessment, and the final assessment, is accurate and truthful. Any inaccurate or false information provided shall result in the immediate termination of the Service without entitlement to a refund.
10. Service Availability
The Service is limited to properties located in specific counties within the San Francisco Bay Area. Services requested for properties outside of these specified areas are ineligible for refunds.
11. Modifications to Terms
Reassess Me reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications will constitute your agreement to the new Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state where Reassess Me is headquartered, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
13. Termination
Reassess Me may terminate or suspend your access to the Service for any reason or no reason at all without prior notice.
14. General Provisions
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to be valid and enforceable.
